Rob Conhaim, Chair
Rob Comhaim was asked to chair the formation of the arts committee when it was established by Mayor Doug Zwank in December of 2005. Professionally Rob, who has a doctorate in physiology, works as a scientist in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He has a strong interest and background in photography and graphic arts, and often incorporates this into his laboratory research. He considers knowledge gained at a public art workshop presented by the Wisconsin Arts Board in May, 2007 to have been important in focusing the arts committee's advancement. |

Brooke Dovenbarger
Brooke Dovenbarger is Creative Director at CPM Marketing Group. She leads a talented team of graphic designers, copywriters, production artists and video producers. During her near three-year tenure, CPM’s Creative Department has tripled in size and garnered more than 36 industry awards, including several coveted gold awards. Brooke brings a wealth of experience to her position with 17 years of solid art direction, graphic design and creative management in direct marketing, advertising and web design. She has worked at some of the largest national and international direct response agencies, including a division of OgilvyOne Worldwide where she headed up their Singapore office. Brooke graduated from Ohio University where she earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design. She resides in Middleton with her husband, son and labrador retriever. |

Susi Hassert
A native New Yorker, museums and art galleries were Susi's favorite haunts growing up. She attended Pratt Institute where she studied with some of the top artists and designers in the country. She graduated in 1973, with a BFA in Fine Arts and Design. She began work part time as a corporate designer while she was in school. After graduation she continued in the field, designing for industry at corporate offices in Manhattan and Boston. Susi's artwork has been published in newspapers and magazines. Currently she paints on wood, using acrylics, beeswax and images she has created in Photoshop for collage materials. Since moving to Middleton she has been involved in community landscape design projects. She has designed communal perennial gardens for Middleton Conservancy Condos. She has worked with Penni Klein on Middleton Arbor Day Landscaping projects, where she designed the layout and selected plants for prairie plantings along a public path that leads into the Conservancy. Susi does freelance consulting for color and layout of interiors.
Traveling frequently to other cities, Susi admires unique art and landscape design. She is happy that Middleton is sponsoring art projects in the community and that City Council has committed to the acquisition of art. She would like to thank former Mayor Doug Zwank, for getting things started. Susi and her husband David own a business located in downtown Middleton. |

Meghan Thumm Mackey
Meghan Thumm Mackey is an Art Conservator who lives with her husband and four children in Middleton. She is also a Middleton small business owner: her conservation studio serves collectors, foundations and museums throughout the state.
Meghan’s educational background includes a combined degree in Art History and Fine Arts from Princeton University and a MA in Art History from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts. She studied Art Conservation at the Conservation Center of the IFA Subsequently, Meghan spent time working with major museum collections, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Meghan now works on art of all shapes, sizes and materials. She hopes that her experience with material preservation can be an asset for her new hometown as it explores its artistic side. |

P J Flanagan Nelson
Phil resides in Middleton and is an art instructor at both Kromery and Glacier Creek Middle Schools for the Middleton Cross-Plains Area School District. He holds a degree in both a Bachelor of Art Education and a Masters of Art in Education. As an artist, his medium of choice is sculpture. Presently, his creations are made of wood or metal. His work has been shown at several locations in the area. In 2010 he was a participant in the Whirligig Design Cherette with lead artist, Jill Sebastian, New South Campus Union, Wisconsin Percent for Art Commission. |

Miriam Share
Miriam Share lives in Middleton and earned a BFA in Theater from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A classically-trained artist, musician, ballet dancer and professional writer with a passion for gardening, Miriam performs with the Madison Symphony Chorus, serves on the Middleton Sustainability Committee, and is Territory Manager for a Madison-based company. |

Abby Attoun
Abby Attoun is an Associate Planner for the City of Middleton and provides staff to the Arts Committee. Abby is originally from Missouri and graduated in 2004 with a BS in Community and Regional Planning from Missouri State University, and in 2007 with an MS in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa. She has a strong interest in community development, public art, sustainability, and housing policy.
